Scholarships

The Suffolk Community College Guild of Administrative Officers is proud to present three student scholarship opportunities. These scholarships are designated for full-time and part-time matriculated students who are dependents of SCOPE/Union members. This initiative is offered in solidarity with the mission of labor unions in Suffolk County. 

Scholarship Criteria

  • Matriculation: The applicant must be a matriculated student at SUNY Suffolk.
  • Union Affiliation: The applicant or their parent/legal guardian must be a SCOPE union member.
  • Personal Statement: The student must provide a personal statement (250 words maximum). This statement should cover a personal goal, what they hope to achieve through their education, or how the scholarship will help them succeed. (This is used to differentiate between evenly scored students.)
  • Students must submit a copy of their transcript and a letter of recommendation with their application.
  • ​Applications will be evaluated on a combination of the Personal Statement, the Letter of Recommendation, and GPA.
