Associate Dean of Financial Affairs
The Associate Dean of Financial Affairs reports to the Vice President of Financial Affairs. Primary responsibilities shall include:
1.Analyzing and making recommendations on operating budget requests submitted by the three campuses and college administrative departments.
2.Analyzing and making recommendations on revenue projections for the college fiscal year.
3.Analyzing and making recommendations on capital budget requests submitted by the three campuses and college administrative departments, and accounting for and claiming state aid for capital projects.
4.Supervising and participating in the preparation of all financial reports of the college, including the state annual report, state budget request, student financial aid reports, all state aid claims, and all state
5.Supervising and coordinating the collection of student bad debt accounts and acting as liaison with collection attorney.
6.Supervising the maintenance of all expenditure and revenue accounts and records of the College, including all operating accounts, all student financial aid accounts, and all state and federal grants.
7.Supervising and coordinating all non-resident chargebacks to other counties in New York State.
8.Supervising and coordinating the collection, deposit, and transfer of all College revenues.
9.Acting as liaison for the college with New York State, Suffolk County, and CPA auditors, providing information on, and explanations of, college accounting systems and financial reporting.
10.Assisting the Vice President in the supervision of a variety of administrative services such as purchasing, warehousing, mail and messenger services.
11.Assisting the Vice President in the supervision of campus business offices.
12.Performing such other related duties as may be assigned by the Vice President of Financial Affairs.
