DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
The Director of Marketing is responsible for overseeing all college-wide marketing activities.
Reporting to the Vice President for Intergovernmental Relations, the Director of Marketing
will assist the vice president in:
1. Working with business and industry and community groups to develop specific credit and non-credit educational programs and curriculum that will enhance the “knowledge” base of employees, thus fostering economic development.
2. Developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to promote those educational programs and curriculum.
3. Identifying innovative and pedagogically effective ways to deliver classroom activities and educational programs and services to locations and businesses off-site and developing marketing activities to promote these programs and services.
4. Developing strong working relationships with economic development agencies and other appropriate Long Island business and industry trade groups and associations to meet the economic development needs of Suffolk County.
5. Creating educational programs reflecting the needs of industry in adapting to developing technology.
6. Developing training programs for county and other governmental agencies.
7. Coordinating preparation and placement of advertising.
8. Working with the director of publications in designing brochures and other support materials for continuing education, evening, summer, and special curriculum programs.
9. Working with the enrollment management officer to support recruitment efforts.
10. Assisting faculty in the marketing of programs within their areas of responsibility.
11. Creating, implementing, and monitoring media and community relations activities.
12. Implementing special assignments and duties as assigned by the vice president.
