DIRECTOR OF ENROLLMENT SERVICES

The Director of Placement reports to the Dean of Students.  Primary responsibilities include:

  1. Supervising the staff and functions of the Campus Admissions Office.
  2. Establishing and maintaining contacts with business, industry, and agencies for the purpose of encouraging the recruitment and hiring of graduates, and for soliciting job listings.
  3. Receiving all employers’ phone calls and referring relevant information and inquiries to the East and West campuses as needed.
  4. Implementing the computerized job-matching program (i.e. The Job Connection) and arranging for the program to be available to the East and West Campuses.
  5. Providing the Dean of Students with relevant placement information which can be shared with appropriate college personnel.
  6. Maintaining a schedule of on-campus recruitment.
  7. Coordinating the planning and arrangements for the annual Job Fair.
  8. Providing job search seminars and resume workshops for graduates.
  9. Preparing periodic newsletters (i.e., The Placement Office News) for students and College community.
  10. Publicizing Placement Office activities and special programs through College and Campus Briefs, the College newspapers, and the College Public Relations Office.
  11. Coordinating the distribution of part-time, temporary, and summer job listings on the Campus; sharing such listings with the East and West Campuses.
  12. Maintaining a liaison with department heads, chairpersons, and faculty of the career curricula for purposes of disseminating job information.
  13. Coordinating a schedule of interviewing and registration of students/graduates for employment both individually and in groups.
