DIRECTOR OF CAMPUS ACTIVITIES

     The Director of Campus Activities reports to the Associate Dean of Student Services and is responsible for coordinating student life programs on the Grant Campus. Primary responsibilities include the following:

1. Initiates and develops various student life programs, including social, educational and cultural activities and events sponsored by the Office of Campus Activities.

2. In collaboration with colleagues, coordinates and implements special campus programs and events both within and outside the Campus Activities area, e.g., campus celebrations and community-based programs.

3. Sets annual goals and assures that student life programs are consistent with institutional priorities and division goals.

4. Directly supervises and evaluates professional, clerical, and student staff assigned to the Office of Campus Activities.

5. Maintains and publishes a calendar of campus activities, and produces and disseminates information to the campus regarding campus activities, special events, and other programs and services of interest to students. Works with the Office of Institutional Advancement to disseminate information about activities and programs, and promote a positive image of the Grant Campus.

6. Oversees training for and ongoing contact with advisors of student organizations and publications in order to support their working effectively with students and promoting student development.

7. Oversees leadership training and ongoing advising for student leaders.

8. Oversees coordination of a campus orientation program for new full-time and part-time students.

9. Oversees coordination of the graduation program and represents the campus on the college-wide graduation committee.

10. Oversees the scheduling and planning for use of campus
 facilities by outside groups.

11. Prepares and administers the annual budget for Campus Activities derived from student fees, in consultation with the Associate Dean of Student Services and Association Business Manager; participates in the Association Advisory  Council which oversees the spending of those funds.

12. Represents the Grant Campus at professional conferences and meetings related to campus activities 

13. Serves as campus liaison to auxiliary services such as the bookstore and food service/cafeteria.

14. Serves on college-wide and campus committees.

15. Assumes other duties assigned by the Associate Dean of Student Services.
