College Associate Dean for Transitional ESL Programs
Position Description
The College Associate Dean reports to the Campus Dean on his or her campus and to the College Dean of Faculty and has college responsibility for the Transitional English as a Second Language (ESL) Program. Primary responsibilities are as follows:
1. Supporting and assisting the Campus Dean in the following areas of responsibility:
2. Providing college leadership for the implementation and administrative oversight of the Transitional ESL Program by:
3. Developing initiatives that support the strategic plan, vision, and mission of the college;
4. Performing other duties as assigned by the Campus Dean or the College Dean of Faculty.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a master’s degree required (a doctorate preferred), in an academic discipline and experience in higher education administration.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated evidence of a strong commitment to student academic and personal development, a deep understanding of and commitment to the success of students with English as a Second Language, and a strong understanding and appreciation for diversity.
